Our Minister: The Rev. Peter Andrew Smith.
Rev. Peter Smith came to St. James in December 2007.
A graduate of Atlantic School of Theology and ordained by the Maritime Conference, Rev. Peter served congregations in Parrsboro (Trinity United Church) and Port Greville (Grace United Church), both in Nova Scotia, and in Quispamsis (Quispamsis United Church) in New Brunswick before coming to Antigonish.
Rev. Peter is enthusiastic about meaningful worship and preaching and enjoys Bible Study and discussion with people of all ages. He can be frequently seen engaged in conversation as he drinks tea during coffee hour.
Rev. Peter's first book of Lectionary Based Communion prayers, "All Things are Ready" was published in July 2007 by CSS Publishing.
A native of the maritimes, Rev. Peter is enjoying settling in to Antigonish with his wife, Rev. Meredith and their two small dogs who can be seen from time to time walking along the Lochaber Road.
